What a fun, fun day!

And we needed it so much! Last night, we had a blackout in our neighborhood and although I waited (in vain), it didn't get fixed until 6am today. Our friends were out of town, and we couldn't crash into someone else's place now, could we?

Anyhoo, I got diverted there for a sec. I was going to tell you about our day, and what a great time we had at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Arlington (about 30 minutes drive from our home). We first tried the Raging Rapids and the Atlantic Panic, and then ventured to the newest attraction -- the Mega Wedgie! Woohoo! What a ride!

There was a lazy river and the wave pool that offered comfort from the crazy rides. And we didn't know what got into us, but we lined up for Banzai Boggans... sounds easy enough. But it didn't feel like it.

(That isn't my picture, we had our camera in the locker the entire time. I just really wanted you to see what I'm talking about here. This is serious stuff.)

What's really amazing is that Gabriel went through each and every ride with us. He really loved the Hook's Lagoon, and I like that one too -- if only for the huge bucket of water falling on your head! Don't look up!

Happy 4th to y'all...
